Goiás industrial production grows as services decline

Data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) shows divergent economic trends in Goiás for July. The state's industrial production grew by 0.8% following two consecutive months of contraction. This growth was driven largely by the manufacturing of coke, petroleum derivatives, and biofuels, which saw a 10% increase compared to the same month last year. Additionally, the pharmaceutical and pharmochemical manufacturing sector in Goiás rose by 23.3%.

In contrast, the services sector in Goiás experienced a decline, falling by 1.9% compared to the previous month. This marks the second consecutive month of contraction for services in the region.
