Goiás sets September 15 deadline for IPVA payments

In Goiás, the deadline for paying the 2026 Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) for vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 is Tuesday, September 15. This date marks the final installment for those using installment plans, as well as the deadline for single-payment options.

State Revenue data indicates that over 101,000 vehicles with plate ending 1 and 104,000 with plate ending 2 have not yet settled the tax. Failure to pay by the deadline will result in interest and fines, and taxpayers will lose eligibility for the Nota Fiscal Goiana discount and the 50% reduction available to certain 1.0 automobiles and small motorcycles.

Annual vehicle licensing also expires on September 15 for these plates. Payments can be processed via the Expresso Portal, the Detran-GO website, or the Detran GO ON application. For vehicles with plate endings 3 through 0, the deadline remains October 15.
