Four brutal homicides reported in Brazil's Goiás, Paraná, Alagoas and Santa Catarina

In Goiás, police arrested 54‑year‑old Carlos Humberto Silva Cardoso after he confessed via audio messages to the femicide of 62‑year‑old Tânia Maria Ribeiro de Oliveira. The murder, linked to a history of domestic violence, occurred in Itumbiara and the suspect was taken into custody in Goiânia.

In Apucarana, Paraná, 57‑year‑old Valdecir de Souza Perez was identified after his body was found partially carbonized on a rural road. Autopsy reports revealed extensive torture, including dismemberment and ear removal, suggesting the killing was pre‑planned and the body burned to conceal evidence.

In the Agreste region of Alagoas, a young man was shot dead near a school in the rural community of Sítio Pilões during a dispute over a debt involving the return of a mobile phone. The incident is being treated as homicide and remains under investigation.

In Campos Novos, Santa Catarina, 21‑year‑old Nicolas Ruan da Silva was discovered dead in a forested area of the Quilombola community. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds and other injuries, and police have classified the case as homicide while continuing investigations to determine motive and locate suspects.
