Goiás Voter Awareness Low for Governor and Legislative Candidates

Two recent polls in Goiás reveal that many voters have little knowledge of the individuals running for office. A Genial/Quaest survey showed that 30% of respondents do not know governor candidate Daniel Vilela (MDB) and 62% are unfamiliar with senator‑to‑governor hopeful Wilder Morais (PL). Among left‑wing contenders, 76% do not recognize Luis Cesar Bueno (PT), 83% Cíntia Dias (PSOL) and 89% Luciana Amorim (UP). Former governor Marconi Perillo (PSDB) is the only candidate with low unfamiliarity, with just 16% not recognizing him. Political marketing experts attribute the gaps to limited public exposure.

A separate Folha Z/Diagnóstico poll in Goiânia found that 81.5% of voters could not name any candidate for the state legislative assembly. The most spontaneously mentioned name was Romário Policarpo (Cidadania), followed by Paulin Vai Nele (PRD) and Sargento Novandir (Democrata). The results indicate a broadly open field and a need for candidates to boost visibility ahead of the October elections.
