Gojek sends 70 veteran drivers on free Umrah pilgrimage

Gojek is sending 70 of its ‘Mitra Driver Legend’ to perform the Umrah pilgrimage to the Holy Land free of charge. The recipients are long-term partners who have been with the company since its early years, specifically between 2010 and 2014, when services were still operated via call centers rather than mobile applications.

The announcement was made during a Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW commemoration in Kemang, South Jakarta. The event included prayers led by preacher Habib Ja’far Al Hadar and was attended by Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi. GoTo CEO Hans Patuwo noted that these veteran drivers played a crucial role in building the company’s foundation.

The drivers are scheduled to depart on September 2, 2026. This initiative is part of the Program Apresiasi Mitra (PAM), designed to reward the loyalty and contributions of long-standing partners.
