Gokseong County introduces new investment subsidies for local businesses
Gokseong County has established its own investment subsidy standards to support companies that fall into the blind spots of metropolitan-level support systems. The county's Investment Attraction Committee recently approved a plan to provide financial incentives to encourage new investments and assist companies in settling within the region.
Under the new policy, companies purchasing land in industrial complexes for the first time can receive location subsidies of up to 400 million won, covering within 30% of land purchase costs. Facility subsidies are available for investments exceeding 2 billion won, providing 5% of the excess amount up to a maximum of 500 million won. To promote employment, the county will provide employment and training subsidies of up to 300 million won, calculated at 600,000 won per month for each person hired or trained beyond the initial 10 employees.
To alleviate initial financial burdens, 70% of location and facility subsidies will be paid upon the commencement of construction, with the remaining 30% paid upon completion. The county plans to monitor employment levels for three years following the disbursement of employment subsidies to ensure long-term stability. This initiative is expected to increase the occupancy rates of local industrial sites, such as the Ungok Specialized Agricultural Industrial Complex.
