Goku voice actors reunite at Tokyo X 2026 in Houston

Four voice actors for the character Goku gathered at the Tokyo X 2026 convention held in Houston, Texas, on September 26 and 27. The group included Mexican actor Mario Castañeda, Japanese original voice Masako Nozawa, American Sean Schemmel, and Indian actor Ankur Javeri.

The actors performed the iconic ‘Kamehameha’ pose and shout together. During the event, Castañeda discussed the technical challenges of dubbing anime, noting that the difficulty lies in understanding the emotional intent behind screams and maintaining synchronization with the animation, particularly during high-intensity transformations like Super Saiyan 3.
