GOL Boeing 737 MAX 8 makes emergency landing in Goiânia
A GOL Linhas Aéreas Boeing 737 MAX 8, operating flight G3 1433, performed an emergency landing at Goiânia International Airport on Saturday morning, September 12, following technical issues shortly after takeoff. The aircraft was en route from Goiânia to Congonhas Airport in São Paulo.
According to flight tracking data, the aircraft circled the region for approximately 45 minutes before returning to the airport. Passengers reported hearing a loud bang on the left side of the plane and seeing objects fall inside the cabin. The flight carried approximately 180 people, including 174 to 184 passengers and six crew members.
The Goiânia airport administration confirmed that the landing was completed safely and without further incidents, supported by emergency response teams. GOL canceled the flight following the landing and stated that all actions were taken with a focus on safety. The airline is providing assistance to affected passengers in accordance with ANAC Resolution 400.
