GOL Linhas Aéreas appoints André Fehlauer as new CEO

GOL Linhas Aéreas has announced a leadership reorganization, appointing André Fehlauer as the new CEO effective September. Fehlauer, the current CEO of the loyalty program Livelo, succeeds Celso Ferrer, who is departing after more than 20 years with the airline.

Ferrer will transition to a new role heading Boeing’s operations for Latin America and the Caribbean. His tenure at GOL included navigating the company through judicial recovery and its integration into the Abra Group, a holding company that also includes Avianca.

As part of the restructuring, Albert Perez, the current Chief Operating Officer, will also assume the role of President of the airline. The company describes this transition as the beginning of a “new phase of value creation” aimed at leveraging synergies within the Abra Group while focusing on customer-centric growth.
