Gol to cancel 17 domestic and international routes

Gol has announced the termination of 17 domestic and international flight routes starting in February 2027. The airline cited rising operational expenses, particularly the cost of aviation kerosene, which has doubled in recent years and now accounts for approximately 40% of its operating costs.

The international cancellations include routes connecting Brasília and Fortaleza to Orlando, Brasília and Belém to Miami, Rio de Janeiro to Montevideo and Assunção, and São Paulo to Punta Cana.

Domestic changes will affect nine routes, including connections between São Paulo (Congonhas), Brasília, Salvador, Fortaleza, and Goiânia to various regional destinations. Gol stated it intends to provide alternatives for affected passengers through connecting flights or agreements with partner airlines.
