Gold and coin prices surge amid rising global and domestic rates
Gold and coin prices in Iran have reached new records due to the simultaneous rise of the US dollar and global gold ounce prices. In the domestic market, the Emami gold coin rose to 234.5 million tomans, an increase of 7 million tomans compared to previous evening trades. Bahar Azadi coins reached 231 million tomans, while 18-karat gold surpassed the 23 million toman per gram threshold.
On the global stage, gold prices rose by over 1% following a decline in the US dollar and US Treasury yields. The spot price of gold increased to approximately 4,434 dollars per ounce, while futures rose to 4,480 dollars. Analysts suggest that if gold maintains its position above the 4,400 dollar mark, it could target 4,500 and 4,700 dollars. Market participants are closely watching upcoming US employment data to gauge potential shifts in Federal Reserve interest rate policies.
