Gold and currency markets show volatility amid global economic shifts

Global and regional markets are seeing significant activity in gold and currency exchange rates. In Egypt, the US dollar has remained stable against the Egyptian pound, trading around 52.07 EGP for purchase and 52.21 EGP for sale. Egypt's foreign exchange reserves reached a record $57.21 billion in August, up from $56.29 billion in July.

Gold prices have shown volatility and growth. Globally, gold prices have approached historic highs, with the ounce trading near $4,390. In Egypt, 21-karat gold has seen recent increases, reaching approximately 6,395 EGP per gram. In Pakistan, gold is trading at Rs 460,236 per tola, while in India, 24-karat gold is priced around Rs 155,840 per 10 grams.

In the Gulf region, gold rates in Dubai have seen slight declines, with 24K gold at AED 527.50 per gram. Meanwhile, the US dollar remains pegged to the currencies of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, with minor fluctuations reported against the official rates. Geopolitical tensions and US Federal Reserve interest rate decisions continue to be primary drivers for these market movements.
