Gold and silver prices see regional fluctuations and global growth forecasts

Precious metal markets in India and global forecasts for 2026 show significant activity. In Indian states including Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, gold and silver prices remain a focal point for investors. As of late August 2026, 24-carat gold prices in these regions have fluctuated around ₹1,53,350 to ₹1,58,230 per 10 grams, while silver is trading near ₹2,54,900 to ₹2,60,000 per kilogram.

Looking toward the end of 2026, wealth management firm Monarch PMS has provided a multi-scenario outlook for global prices. In their base case, which carries a 55% probability, gold could reach $4,300 to $4,700 per ounce and silver $70 to $85 per ounce, driven by central bank purchases and US monetary policy. A bullish scenario (25% probability) suggests gold could climb to $5,600 per ounce if the Federal Reserve cuts interest rates. Conversely, a bear case (20% probability) warns prices could drop to $3,400–$3,900 for gold if inflation decreases and demand weakens.
