India gold and silver prices fluctuate amid global market shifts

Gold and silver prices in India have experienced significant volatility driven by fluctuations in the US dollar, treasury yields, and geopolitical tensions, including Iran-US relations.

In recent trading sessions, gold prices saw sharp increases, with 24-carat gold reaching approximately ₹1,51,570 per 10 grams in cities like Delhi and Jaipur. Silver prices have also seen substantial movement, trading around ₹2,40,000 per kilogram in several major urban centers.

Market analysts attribute these trends to a weakening US dollar and volatility in crude oil prices. While some reports noted a recent surge in precious metal values, others indicated a slight cooling of prices on the first day of the trading week. Local rates continue to vary across major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru, based on regional demand and import costs influenced by the weakening rupee.
