Gold Coast Rollers win NBL1 national title

The Gold Coast Rollers secured the NBL1 national title after defeating the Forestville Eagles 70-63 in an overtime championship game. Despite playing with only seven players and missing three NBL players, the Rollers became the first NBL1 North team to win a national championship in the tournament's five-year history. Key performances from Brodie McGregor, Boston Mazlin, and Ashley McGrath, who combined for 56 points, proved decisive in the extra period.

In the semi-finals, the Forestville Eagles advanced to the championship game by defeating the Frankston Blues 80-75. The Blues, who had previously won the NBL1 South Men’s championship, mounted a late comeback attempt but were unable to overcome the Eagles' lead. Forestville captain Adam Doyle secured the victory at the free-throw line.
