Gold Coast Suns defeat St Kilda by 30 points
The Gold Coast Suns secured a 30-point victory over St Kilda at People First Stadium, moving into the top four with a 5-2 record. Despite a strong first half from St Kilda, the Suns dominated the latter stages of the match, outscoring the Saints eight goals to one in the second half.
St Kilda forward Jesse Tawhaio-Wardlaw provided a bright spot for the winless side, kicking a career-high five goals to help her team build a 15-point lead by halftime. However, the momentum shifted decisively after the break. Gold Coast's Charlie Rowbottom led the comeback with 38 disposals, while Dekota Baron contributed three goals.
The victory came at a cost for the Suns, who lost Annabel Kievit to a suspected knee injury during the second half. St Kilda remains at the bottom of the AFLW ladder with a 0-7 record.
