Gold Coast Suns prepare for Melbourne Demons clash

Gold Coast Suns coach Rhyce Shaw expressed confidence in his young squad as they approach a critical match against the Melbourne Demons. Following five consecutive wins, the Suns have moved into the top four of the AFLW standings. Shaw noted that despite being mindful of the playing load for his first-year players, the team shows high energy levels heading into the final month of the home and away season.

Ahead of the matchup in Mackay, the Melbourne Demons are managing several injury updates. Ruck Jacinta Hose has been cleared for selection, and Shelley Heath-Barker is expected to undergo a fitness test following calf rehabilitation. However, captain Kate Hore will remain unavailable as specialists investigate a neck concern. Other players, including Sinead Goldrick, Amelia Dethridge, and Chloe Baker-West, are progressing through various stages of injury recovery.
