Gold ETFs and Indian Mutual Funds Show Strong Returns in 2024

Gold exchange‑traded funds have delivered an average annual return of 7.5% over the past decade, outpacing many traditional assets. Leading gold mining companies posted up to 15% yearly growth in 2023, roughly doubling the performance of the top ETFs.

In India, several mutual funds posted five‑year returns around the mid‑20s percent range. The Bank of India Credit Risk Fund recorded a 27.88% five‑year gain, while LIC MF Gold ETF FoF, Aditya Birla Sun Life PSU Equity, LIC MF Infrastructure, and SBI Gold Fund each returned between 25.5% and 25.82% over the same period. These results highlight strong performance for gold‑linked, infrastructure, and public‑sector equity funds amid a backdrop of economic growth and market volatility.
