Gold exploration advances in Western Australia
Mining companies Minerals 260 and Nexus Minerals have reported significant drilling activities and resource updates at their respective gold projects in Western Australia.
Minerals 260 reported high-grade gold intercepts at its Bullabulling gold project, located 25km southwest of Coolgardie. Drilling intersected 1.1 metres at 290 grams per tonne gold at the Bacchus deposit. The company’s ongoing infill and grade control drilling across the Phoenix, Bacchus, Kraken, and Dicksons deposits aims to support mine planning and a definitive feasibility study for its 6.2-million-ounce mineral resource.
Nexus Minerals has commenced a 2,000-metre diamond drilling program at its Wallbrook gold project. This initiative follows a September resource upgrade that increased the Wallbrook Mineral Resource Estimate to 631,000 ounces. The drilling targets the Payns and Branches deposits to improve geological understanding and resource classification, with the first gold assays expected in early December.
