Gold mining companies report Q2 2026 results and project milestones

First Mining Gold Corp. has announced its second quarter 2026 financial results and significant operational milestones for the Springpole gold project in Ontario, Canada. The project has received federal environmental assessment approval from the Canadian Minister of the Environment and Climate Change. Additionally, the company has reached agreements with the Slate Falls Nation, Cat Lake First Nation, and Lac Seul First Nation regarding project benefits, environmental protections, and infrastructure, including a milestone agreement to develop a year-round access road to the Cat Lake First Nation.

G Mining Ventures Corp. also reported its second quarter 2026 results, highlighting strong free cash flow and production performance. The company's Tocantinzinho operation saw a 16% increase in gold production compared to the first quarter. G Mining Ventures remains on track for its full-year production guidance of 160,000 to 190,000 ounces. Construction at the Oko project continues on schedule, with the first gold pour expected in the second half of 2027.
