Antam gold price rises as global gold retreats, lifting ANTM shares
On 1 July 2026 Antam’s gold bars were priced at Rp 2,625,000 per gram, a Rp 5,000 decline from the previous day, while global spot gold fell 0.6 % to US$ 3,981.69 per ounce. The next day, 2 July, Antam’s price jumped to Rp 2,640,000 per gram, up Rp 15,000, with the buy‑back rate reaching Rp 2,345,000 per gram.
Analysts see further upside for gold, noting that a break above the US$ 4,115 resistance could push the metal toward US$ 4,168 as investors seek safe‑haven assets amid economic uncertainty, a weakening US dollar and lower Treasury yields.
The rise in gold prices coincides with strong investor interest in PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM). Foreign net buying reached Rp 306.45 billion in the week to 22 June, and the stock closed 6.13 % higher at Rp 2,770 on 2 July. Consistent dividend payouts and robust earnings from gold and nickel operations underpin the stock’s appeal.
