Gold prices fall in Delhi, hitting 1.09 lakh rupees per 10 g
On 21 June 2026 the price of 18‑karat gold in Delhi fell to ₹1,09,710 per 10 g, with 22‑karat at ₹1,34,050 and 24‑karat at ₹1,46,230, marking a drop of more than ₹2,800 from a week earlier. The decline was attributed to a stronger US dollar pressuring precious‑metal prices worldwide. Silver also slipped, trading around ₹2,50,000 per kg.
Two days later, on 23 June 2026, gold prices in Delhi showed a modest rise, with 24‑karat at ₹1,46,670 per 10 g and 22‑karat at ₹1,34,460, as discussions of a US‑Iran peace accord and a weaker rupee boosted demand. Silver prices eased slightly, falling about ₹100 per kg to ₹2,49,900 in Delhi. Industry analysts warned that recent increases in import duty on gold could further lift domestic prices, suggesting that duty adjustments may have a limited effect on import volumes but could raise retail rates.
