Gold Prices Decline Across Markets, Pakistan and India Rates Slip

Global bullion prices fell on Tuesday, driving down local gold rates in several countries. In Pakistan, 24‑karat gold dropped to Rs 434,936 per tola – a Rs 2,500 decline – while 10 g of 24‑karat fell to Rs 372,887, and silver slipped to Rs 6,559 per tola. Vietnam saw the Saigon Jewelry Company price gold bars fall 0.33 % to VND 150 million per tael, with spot gold down 0.9 % to $4,126 per ounce. Dubai’s 24‑karat price was Dh 497 per gram, modestly lower after earlier weekly highs, as regional tensions revived concerns over energy flows. In India, however, some markets reported a sharp rise, with 24‑karat gold trading near INR 1.47 lakh per 10 g after a weak US jobs report lifted demand for safe‑haven assets. Analysts linked the movements to a stronger US dollar, higher Treasury yields and ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, noting that gold remains a hedge against inflation and currency volatility.
