Gold prices in Bangladesh decrease by 2,216 BDT per bhori

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced gold prices in the local market by 2,216 BDT per bhori. Following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market, the new rates for 22-carat gold, including VAT, are set at 235,146 BDT per bhori.

Under the new pricing structure effective from 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 6, the price for 21-carat gold is 224,590 BDT per bhori, and 18-carat gold is 192,864 BDT per bhori. The price for traditional method gold has been set at 157,522 BDT per bhori.

While gold prices have decreased, silver prices remain unchanged. The current price for 22-carat silver is 5,032 BDT per bhori, and 21-carat silver is 4,957 BDT per bhori. This adjustment marks the 112th time gold prices have been adjusted in the country this year, consisting of 56 increases and 56 decreases.
