Gold prices in Bangladesh fluctuate following market adjustments
Gold prices in the local market have experienced recent fluctuations. Following a decision by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS), the price of 22-carat gold was set at 232,930 BDT per bhori on Saturday, September 12, 2026, up from the previous day's 231,880 BDT. This adjustment was made due to changes in pure gold prices.
However, recent reports also indicate a downward trend in certain periods. On a previous Friday, gold prices dropped by 2,158 BDT per bhori, bringing the 22-carat price to 231,880 BDT. This decrease was attributed to lower prices in the global market and local pure gold markets.
Silver prices have also seen adjustments. While gold prices rose in the latest update, silver prices were reduced, with 22-carat silver priced at 5,015 BDT per bhori.
