Gold prices in Egypt rise following market fluctuations

Gold prices in Egypt experienced fluctuations between October 12 and October 13, 2026. On October 12, gold bullion and various weights of gold bars saw a decline, presenting potential buying opportunities for investors seeking a safe haven.

By October 13, prices rose significantly. The 24-karat gold gram reached 7,268 Egyptian pounds, an increase of 39.67 pounds (0.55%) from the previous day. The 21-karat gold gram rose to 6,359 pounds, up 34.71 pounds, while 18-karat gold reached 5,451 pounds. The gold pound was priced at 50,873 pounds.

On the global market, the gold ounce rose to 4,188.30 USD, an increase of 16.60 USD. Local Egyptian prices remain heavily influenced by global market trends and the performance of the US dollar.
