Gold prices in India decrease across major cities
Gold prices in India experienced a decrease on August 25, 2026. The cost of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 220 per 10 grams, reaching Rs 1,63,750, while 22-carat gold dropped by Rs 200 to Rs 1,50,100.
These price reductions were observed across several major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Bhubaneswar. In Bhubaneswar, 18-carat gold also saw a decrease of Rs 120, priced at Rs 1,22,810.
Silver rates remained largely stable across the country, priced at approximately Rs 2,60,000 to Rs 2,65,000 per kilogram. While silver prices were constant in most areas, Bhubaneswar reported a decrease of Rs 10,000 over the previous 24 hours.
