Gold prices in Pakistan decline amid international market shifts

Gold prices in Pakistan have experienced downward trends following declines in international bullion markets. As of early September 2026, the price of 24-karat gold per tola saw significant fluctuations, dropping to approximately Rs 463,136 on September 8, following a previous dip to Rs 465,536 on September 5.

In addition to gold, silver prices have also seen decreases, with rates reported around Rs 6,800 to Rs 7,098 per tola. The volatility in the local market is closely linked to international trends, including a reported drop in international gold prices to roughly $4,430 per ounce.

While precious metal prices have trended lower, other economic indicators in Pakistan showed mixed results, such as a reported increase in petrol prices by Rs 13 per litre. The US Dollar remained stable against the Pakistani Rupee at a rate of Rs 277.90 in the open market.
