Gold prices decline in Pakistan and global markets
Gold prices in Pakistan and global markets have experienced a decline following a period of recent gains. In the local bullion market, the price of 24K gold per tola fell to approximately Rs 483,036, reflecting a downward trend influenced by international market shifts.
While gold prices decreased, silver rates showed mixed movements in local markets. The fluctuations in precious metal values are being driven by international bullion trends, changes in the value of the US dollar, and global geopolitical tensions, particularly in the Middle East, which often drive investors toward gold as a safe-haven asset.
In other domestic news, the Prime Minister’s ‘Apna Ghar’ housing program has seen a significant surge in interest. Applications for the scheme have increased by 52% since June, reaching a total of 139,000 applicants. Additionally, the number of loans issued under the program has risen by 59% during the same period.
