Gold prices in Pakistan fluctuate amid global market shifts

Gold prices in Pakistan experienced volatility in mid-August 2026. On August 13, the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported a decline in 24-karat gold prices, with the price per tola falling by Rs3,500 to Rs460,436. The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw a decrease of Rs3,001, reaching Rs394,749. Silver prices in the local market similarly declined, dropping by Rs175 per tola to Rs6,936.

Other market reports indicated fluctuations where gold prices per tola rose to Rs463,936, driven by stronger international bullion prices. These movements highlight the sensitivity of Pakistan’s domestic bullion market to global gold rates and geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East.
