Gold prices in Pakistan fluctuate amid international market shifts

Gold prices in Pakistan experienced volatility on October 3, with reports showing significant fluctuations in the local bullion market. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs4,300 per tola, bringing the rate to Rs436,336 per tola. This decline was attributed to downward pressure from the international market, where gold prices dropped by $43 per ounce to $4,138.

Other reports indicated slightly different market benchmarks, with 24-karat gold per tola reaching Rs440,636 and the 10-gram rate at Rs377,774. These variations reflect the influence of international bullion rates, currency exchange movements, and local market conditions. While gold saw declines, silver prices also fluctuated, with some reports noting a slight increase to Rs6,578 per tola.
