Gold prices rise in Saudi Arabia and Egypt as global spot hits $4,527 per ounce
Saudi Arabia saw a modest increase in gold prices on Tuesday, with the 21‑karat rate opening at 478.12 rial per gram, up from 477.17 rial the previous day. The 24‑karat price reached 546.42 rial per gram, while the 22‑karat and 18‑karat rates were 500.89 rial and 409.82 rial respectively. The global spot price for an ounce of gold was reported at about $4,527, up 0.96 %.
In Egypt, gold prices remained stable on Tuesday morning. The 21‑karat price was quoted at 6,685 Egyptian pounds per gram for sale and 6,635 pounds for purchase. The 24‑karat rate stood at 7,640 pounds (sale) and 7,582.75 pounds (buy). Prices for 22‑karat and 18‑karat gold were 7,003.25 pounds and 5,730 pounds per gram respectively. The global ounce price was similarly listed at $4,517.09 for sale and $4,516.75 for purchase.
