Golden Agro expands blueberry production in Brazil's São Francisco Valley

Golden Agro completed its first blueberry harvest and obtained an environmental licence authorising the second phase of its project, which will add 207 hectares of new planting in the Vale do São Francisco, Brazil. The expansion aims to boost output of high‑value fruit while maintaining sustainable and responsible use of natural resources. A company spokesperson said, "A combinação entre inovação, planejamento e sustentabilidade impulsiona uma nova fase do projeto agrícola da Golden Agro." The additional area is expected to create new jobs and strengthen the regional fruit‑production chain, supporting both domestic and export markets.

The project follows existing irrigation, agricultural management and quality‑control infrastructure installed in the first stage and complies with current environmental regulations.
