Golden Dragon Mining secures $2.2 million investment from China's Chengtun Mining

Golden Dragon Mining announced a $2.2 million cornerstone placement from Chengtun Mining Group, a Shanghai‑listed resource developer. The deal gives Chengtun Gold a 19.89 % stake in Golden Dragon at a 17.65 % premium to the previous share price. Funds will be used to accelerate exploration at the Cue gold project in the Murchison region of Western Australia. Golden Dragon highlighted a newly defined three‑kilometre gold‑in‑soil anomaly that links four prior prospects into a single mineralised corridor, with auger samples returning up to 720 ppb gold. In return for the investment, Chengtun will nominate one director to Golden Dragon’s board. Managing director Simon Buswell‑Smith said the capital provides independent validation of the company’s exploration strategy and underlines confidence in the project's scale and potential.
