Golden Eagle Luxury Trains announces Zeppelin airship and rail tour

Golden Eagle Luxury Trains, in partnership with Zeppelin Travel and Helloworld Travel, has announced a new 10-day luxury itinerary that combines rail travel with a private Zeppelin airship flight. Scheduled to depart Vienna on June 16, 2027, the tour utilizes the Danube Express to travel through Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Italy, Slovenia, and Hungary.

A central feature of the trip is a private Zeppelin flight from Friedrichshafen, Germany, flying at approximately 1,000 feet over Lake Constance and the surrounding landscape. The experience includes a private champagne reception hosted by Albrecht von Zeppelin, the great-grandson of inventor Ferdinand von Zeppelin, and an after-hours visit to the Zeppelin Museum.

Following the airship excursion, the Danube Express continues through Liechtenstein to destinations such as Lake Como, Verona, Postojna, and Lake Bled, before concluding in Budapest. The package includes ensuite accommodations, onboard dining, excursions, and hotel stays in Vienna and Budapest.
