Golden Eagle Theatre brings 'Sina Senka' to Balkan festivals
The Golden Eagle Theatre in Skopje will stage the drama “Sina Senka,” written by American author Brian Reynolds and directed by Tamara Stojanovski, on 17 July at the “Skopje Summer” festival in the Laboratory venue, beginning at 20:30.
After the Skopje premiere, the production is slated to appear at the Nis Jazz Festival in Serbia on 9 August and at the Korifej alternative theatre festival in Kolasin, Montenegro on 12 August. The play examines contemporary society, systemic violence and the manipulation of fear by media, the pharmaceutical industry and large businesses.
The theatre also announced a mini‑tour across Macedonia at the end of August featuring the play “Teorema, leme,” adapted and directed by Mirko Radonjic, and noted the recent Bitola premiere of the duodrama “Swine,” directed by Stojanovski. The project is funded by author Brian Reynolds and the University of California, Irvine.
