Golden Gate Bridge boat crash leaves one dead and two injured

A 25-foot fishing vessel carrying three people crashed into rocks beneath the Golden Gate Bridge on Thursday morning, resulting in one death and two injuries. The incident occurred around 6:10 a.m. on the Marin County side of the bridge, causing the vessel to capsize.

Emergency responders, including the U.S. Coast Guard, San Francisco Police Department Marine Unit, and various fire districts from San Francisco, Sausalito, and Southern Marin, conducted a multi-agency rescue operation. All three individuals were rescued and transported to a hospital in Marin County with life-threatening injuries.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as 35-year-old Daniel Zhengyu Qin of San Jose. One survivor remains in critical condition, while the third is reported to be in stable condition. The San Francisco Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
