Golden Horse Film Festival partners with Berlin Film Festival for youth cinema

The Golden Horse Film Festival has announced a new collaboration with the Berlin International Film Festival’s ‘Berlinale Generation’ section. Titled ‘Golden Horse × Berlinale Generation’, the initiative aims to introduce films specifically curated for children and adolescents to Taiwanese audiences.

Sebastian Markt, the director of the Berlinale Generation section, will travel to Taiwan to engage with audiences. The program features a selection of eight films, including three feature-length movies and five short films, designed to present diverse perspectives on youth, family, and social environments. Featured titles include ‘Sunny Dancer’, ‘Sad Girlz’, and ‘A Family’, alongside various international and Taiwanese short films.

The collaboration seeks to use cinema as a medium for cross-cultural dialogue, allowing young viewers to explore different lifestyles and perspectives through the screen.
