Golden Joystick Awards to hold 44th ceremony on November 11

The 44th annual Golden Joystick Awards are scheduled to take place on November 11, featuring a refreshed visual identity. The event remains one of the longest-running video game awards determined by public voting.

Nominations for the awards will be announced on September 25, which also marks the opening of voting for the first 21 categories, such as Best Storytelling, Console Game of the Year, and Best Lead Performer. This initial voting period will conclude on October 23. To accommodate late-year releases, a separate voting window for the Ultimate Game of the Year category will occur from October 26 to October 30.

Notable titles mentioned in the context of this year's competition include Resident Evil: Requiem, 007: First Light, Control: Resonant, Marvel’s Wolverine, and The Blood of Dawnwalker, alongside indie titles like Mina the Hollower and Big Walk. Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be eligible for this year's ceremony as its release is slated for November 19, eight days after the awards.
