Golden Link recalls Marvel popcorn buckets over child safety risk in United States
More than 55,000 Marvel‑themed popcorn buckets and drink cups sold at U.S. cinema chains have been voluntarily recalled by Golden Link, the concessions company that produced the items. The recall covers the Captain America: Brave New World helmet‑shaped bucket and the Invisible Woman and Human Torch cups released for Fantastic Four: First Steps. All three products contain button‑cell batteries that children can easily access; ingestion can cause internal chemical burns, esophageal injury, or death. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the safety notice, noting that no injuries have been reported to date. Consumers are advised to stop using the souvenirs, discard the batteries safely, and return the items to the theater of purchase for a refund. The recall was reported by media outlets in Brazil, the United Kingdom and the United States, but the regulatory action and affected sales were limited to the United States.
