Golden Medal of Chemistry 2026 competition opens for applications

Golden Medal of Chemistry inclusive education grants Polish science competitions educational support centers chemistry student awards

Applications are open for the 2026 Golden Medal of Chemistry competition. The contest is designed for undergraduate and engineering theses completed in Poland during the 2025/2026 academic year that demonstrate cognitive or applied significance.

Winners will receive cash prizes: 15,000 PLN for the Gold Medal, 7,500 PLN for Silver, and 3,750 PLN for Bronze. Additionally, DuPont will provide three distinctions valued at 3,000 PLN each. Finalists may also gain opportunities for scientific internships and free research at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

The competition is supported by the Polish Chemical Society and the Committee of Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The deadline for submissions is October 10, 2026.
