Golden Owl startup reports on social media coordination of Ceuta border attempts
Golden Owl, a technology startup based in Alicante, has released reports detailing the digital organization behind mass entry attempts in Ceuta. The company’s investigation revealed that the events occurring in late July were coordinated through a specific brand and promoted by 25 Facebook accounts originating from various Mediterranean countries.
Using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) methods, the startup analyzed more than 5,000 social media messages. Their findings indicate that calls for the 'Asalto Karyaj a Ceuta' were circulated between July 24 and July 31. The company issued a public alert on August 3 regarding these movements.
Beyond the situation in Ceuta, Golden Owl specializes in monitoring hybrid warfare and geopolitical influence. The firm has previously published analyses concerning pro-Russian narratives in the context of the Ukraine-Russia conflict, as well as reports on methods used by the Islamic Republic to influence Western public opinion.
