Golden Sands hotel reported for bed bug infestation

A Romanian family reported a traumatic vacation experience at Hotel Bonita in the Golden Sands resort, Bulgaria, after discovering bed bugs in one of their three reserved rooms.

According to reports shared on social media, a family member woke up with 31 bites after the first night. Following a second night of increased bites, the family discovered bed bugs under the mattress and bed frame. In an attempt to mitigate the issue, the hotel provided a new room and offered to wash the family's clothing at high temperatures to kill any insects.

However, the situation escalated during check-out when the family discovered their clothes had been washed together, resulting in the discoloration and ruin of white garments. When the family requested to speak with management, hotel representatives reportedly denied responsibility and instead accused the tourists of bringing the bed bugs into the establishment and compromising two rooms.
