Golden State Valkyries defeat Los Angeles Sparks 84-78

The Golden State Valkyries defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 84-78 on Sunday night, despite losing a large portion of a 19-point lead. Cecilia Zandalasini led the Valkyries with 15 points, shooting a perfect 5-of-5 from three-point range. Other contributors for Golden State included Tiffany Hayes with 14 points and Gabby Williams and Kayla Thornton with 11 points each.

The Sparks attempted a late-game comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring Golden State 31-20 in the final period. Nneka Ogwumike led Los Angeles with 16 points, while Erica Wheeler added 15. Despite the effort, the Sparks were unable to overcome the early deficit, leaving them six games behind the Dallas Wings for the final WNBA playoff seed.

During the game, Golden State's Kiah Stokes left the court due to a neck contusion following an inadvertent elbow from Cameron Brink.
