Golden State Warriors defeat Denver Nuggets for first season win

The Golden State Warriors secured their first victory of the season with a 134-114 win over the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg led the scoring with a career-high 31 points and 12 rebounds, becoming the first Warriors rookie since Stephen Curry in 2010 to record at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in a single game.

Stephen Curry provided a perfect performance, scoring 24 points while shooting 8-for-8 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. Brandin Podziemski contributed 18 points, while veteran Al Horford added 11 points off the bench. The Warriors' victory was bolstered by a strong second-half performance, during which they outscored Denver 74-40.

For the Nuggets, DeMar DeRozan led with 21 points, while Nikola Jokic recorded 19 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists before being substituted late in the game. Jamal Murray also scored 19 points. The loss follows a period of frustration for Denver, including recent criticism from Jokic regarding fan behavior during home games.
