Golden State Warriors face major roster shortages for Portland game

The Golden State Warriors face significant roster challenges ahead of their preseason matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. The team will be without nine players for the trip to Portland, including stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Other notable absences include Al Horford, De'Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, and Georges Niang. Additionally, Jimmy Butler remains sidelined recovering from an ACL injury, and Kristaps Porziņģis is out due to illness.

Despite these absences, the Warriors recently secured a 124-98 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. During that game, 11th overall draft pick Yaxel Lendeborg impressed in his debut, recording 17 points, nine rebounds, and two assists in 21 minutes. Stephen Curry also contributed 16 points in the win. The Warriors are looking to build momentum following a season that saw them finish 10th in the Western Conference.
