Golden State Warriors map out post‑Curry future

Owner Joe Lacob says the Golden State Warriors are already planning for the eventual retirement of Stephen Curry. While the team continues to compete with Curry on the court, the franchise is looking ahead to a new competitive window.

Last summer the Warriors evaluated high‑profile options such as LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but those moves did not materialise. The organization is now concentrating on developing young talent, rejuvenating the roster and expanding training programs to sustain success after Curry departs.

The strategy aims to avoid a prolonged rebuild by integrating emerging players while maintaining a winning mentality in the seasons still featuring Curry.
