Golden State Warriors pick Yaxel Lendeborg at No. 11 in 2026 NBA Draft
The Golden State Warriors used the No. 11 selection in the 2026 NBA Draft to add Michigan forward Yaxel Lendeborg. A video from the draft broadcast appeared to show owner Joe Lacob and general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. arguing shortly before the pick was made.
Lendeborg celebrated the decision on social media, tweeting “DUB NATIONNNNNNNNN💙💙💙💙💙💙”. He comes to the Warriors after an unconventional college path – three seasons at Arizona Western College, two at UAB, and a final year at Michigan where he helped the Wolverines win the 2026 national championship. In his last season he averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks while shooting 51.5% from the field. The pick is intended to add depth to a roster that is balancing the final years of Stephen Curry’s career with a longer‑term rebuild.
