Golden State Warriors starting lineup remains uncertain

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has confirmed that Draymond Green and Stephen Curry will be permanent fixtures in the starting lineup for the upcoming season. However, the remaining three positions remain subject to competition and rotation.

For the team's preseason opener against the Clippers, Kerr announced a starting five consisting of Curry, Green, Brandin Podziemski, Al Horford, and rookie Yaxel Lendeborg. The inclusion of Lendeborg over Gui Santos is noted as a significant development during training camp.

Lineup decisions are expected to be fluid due to several factors, including injuries to Jimmy Butler III and Moses Moody, as well as the indefinite absence of Kristaps Porziņģis. Kerr indicated that Al Horford may eventually move to a bench role to manage his minutes, particularly given his age and the team's need to manage center rotations.
