Golden State Warriors weigh coaching hires, player future and trade options this offseason

The Golden State Warriors are evaluating changes to their coaching staff after assistants Terry Stotts and Jerry Stackhouse departed. Candidates mentioned include former Pelicans head coach Willie Green, who previously served on Steve Kerr’s staff, and veteran New York Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau.

Veteran forward Draymond Green reflected on his tenure with the Warriors, expressing gratitude for the championships and noting that, if this were his last season, he would leave with a sense of fulfillment.

General manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. confirmed that the Warriors remain interested in acquiring New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III, a $112 million contract player who would fit the team’s need for athletic wing depth. Past trade talks stalled, but the franchise says it will pursue any avenue to improve the roster around Stephen Curry.
